Meeder Investment Management (Meeder) is an Ohio-based investment management firm with over $11 billion in assets under management, advisement and administration. The firm has 4 primary divisions: Private Client Services, Advisor Services, Public Funds and Mutual Fund Services Co. Meeder offers a wide variety of financial solutions including Mutual Funds, Separately Managed Accounts, Investment Strategy, Cash Management and Retirement Plan Services.

The firm is seeking a highly experienced SVP Intermediary Distribution. This position is responsible for the overall leadership of Meeder’s third party distribution efforts, including leading an external and internal sales team, key accounts, and marketing. The successful candidate will be accountable for executing all aspects of distribution – strategy, channels of distribution, key partner relationships, sales goals, business plans and incentives, sales team recruitment and development, and assisting with marketing strategies. The successful candidate will provide strong leadership across the enterprise to ensure all areas are working together to achieve the firm’s intermediary distribution goals.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Develop a focused distribution plan expanding existing intermediary relationships, identifying new business opportunities and generating new business leads.
  • Development of organizational structure – create business plans, territories, sales goals and incentives, and ongoing client engagement efforts.
  • Work with senior leadership to build upon current distribution platforms and develop opportunities for growth.
  • Develop and execute an integrated client engagement model, coordinating sales, key accounts, and marketing, growing top producers and increasing retention.
  • Expand the foundation of an educational and consultative sales approach.
  • Directly responsible for the recruiting, onboarding, development, supervision and performance evaluation of marketing, sales, and key accounts associates.
  • Lead development and enhancement of the CRM system to ensure it is being utilized effectively and efficiently to maximize sales growth.
  • Provide input on the product suite. Assist with the evaluation of existing and design of new products, as well as pricing and competitive positioning in the marketplace.
  • Oversee Marketing, including media special campaigns, digital and website.

Technical Skills Required

  • Bachelor’s degree required; Advanced degree in business, finance or investments preferred.
  • FINRA Series 6 or 7 and 24 or ability to obtain within 1st 90 days required; Series 65 preferred.
  • CFP, CIMA, CRPC preferred.
  • 8-10 years relevant experience in distribution management within the investment industry.
  • Intermediate to advanced knowledge of Microsoft suite of products.
